How Do I Check If FlexBooks Is Still Syncing?
You have looked in QuickBooks and it does not seem like anything new has come across from Mindbody for the last few days. Here are three ways to check whether your sync is still running, starting with the fastest.
One thing to know first: FlexBooks syncs once a day, overnight. It brings across the previous day's sales, so the most recent day you will normally see is yesterday. Today's sales arrive tomorrow morning.
Check 1: Your Recent History table in FlexBooks
This is the quickest check, and on its own it answers the question.
- Go to flexbooks.io/login and sign in with the email address you used to sign up.
- You land on the Synced Transactions dashboard. Find the Recent History table.
- Read the three columns. Sync Day is the day your sales happened. Transactions Synced lists what we created in QuickBooks for that day, for example "14 Sales Receipt(s)". Date synced is when we wrote them into QuickBooks.
- Click Check All to see your full history instead of only the most recent few days.
If there is a row for yesterday and it lists transactions, your sync is running.
Check 2: Your Sales list in QuickBooks
This shows you the same answer from the QuickBooks side.
- In QuickBooks Online, click Sales in the left-hand navigation.
- Open the All Sales tab.
- Sort the list by date, newest first.
- Look at the date on the newest sales receipt. Some accounts are set up to create invoices and payments instead, so look for whichever type you normally see.
FlexBooks writes these into QuickBooks for you from your Mindbody sales, so the date on the newest one is the last day that came across.
Check 3: A Profit and Loss report, day by day
Use this one when you want to pin down the exact date.
- In QuickBooks Online, go to Reports and open Profit and Loss.
- Set the date range to cover the last month.
- Set Display columns by to Days.
- Click Run report.
Every column is one day. Your Mindbody revenue accounts will show a figure on each day that synced, so you can read straight across and see the day the figures stop.
A single quiet day is not a stopped sync. If you made no sales that day, there is nothing for us to bring across, and the column is empty for that reason.
If your sync really has stopped
Once you have established that it stopped, Why Did My FlexBooks Account Stop Syncing? walks you through the two connections that cause it and how to reconnect them.
If you would rather we look, go to flexbooks.io/contact and tell us the date you think it stopped. It helps if you say which of the checks above you ran and what you saw.
